Articles failure
The Articles of Confederation was the first constitution. It gave the federal government little power and gave states more power since the people were afraid of a federal government. One of the main problem with the Articles of Confederation was that it was inflexible. It was inflexible because in order to amend the articles you need all 13 votes. Another problem was that there was no government structure which included no leader, money, or military.
Reflection
In government class, I learned the roles of each branch of the government. One thing that surprised me was that when a presidential candidate has the majority votes for one state, that person wins the vote for the entire state. One thing that I did not agree with was how long some of the terms were for certain political positions. U.S. government is important to helping me become a well-rounded person because it taught me all the different sides to our government which is in our lives every day. Ms. Sullivan could make government class better by talking more about our current government.

6 Principles of Gov't Political Cartoons
This political cartoon is about limited government, which is another one of the six principles of government. Our government is supposed to be limited so that the people have rights, but that is not always the case. This cartoon is mocking the fact that the government is supposed to be limited and shows that government is only limited in the middle of no where.
6 Principles of Gov't Cartoons
This is a political cartoon about federalism. It shows that although the government says that they believe in federalism, they don't always mean it. If the government doesn't agree with what a state wants to do, then they will act as if they don't believe in federalism.
