Articles failure

The Articles of Confederation was the first constitution. It gave the federal government little power and gave states more power since the people were afraid of a federal government. One of the main problem with the Articles of Confederation was that it was inflexible. It was inflexible because in order to amend the articles you need all 13 votes. Another problem was that there was no government structure which included no leader, money, or military.

Reflection

In government class, I learned the roles of each branch of the government. One thing that surprised me was that when a presidential candidate has the majority votes for one state, that person wins the vote for the entire state. One thing that I did not agree with was how long some of the terms were for certain political positions. U.S. government is important to helping me become a well-rounded person because it taught me all the different sides to our government which is in our lives every day. Ms. Sullivan could make government class better by talking more about our current government.
